1: Near-Perfect condition.

If you are wanting -or needing- top dollar for your car you will need to have it in great condition. It's likely a second-hand car so there will be some imperfections but overall it should be pretty excellent. This condition would include: Mechanically A1, no -or few very minor- body dents, excellent interior relevant to age of vehicle, all electronics working, service history, excellent paintwork, fairly low mileage relative to age of vehicle. You pretty much don't want there to be anything that potential buyers can pick on when they come to inspect the vehicle. As a general rule I would suggest avoiding a situation where you need to get top dollar for the car because sometimes you can't and you can lose money or you have to wait a long time to find a buyer. Having said that, sometimes you do find a car that only needs minor work done to be considered in this condition and at least then you can probably get the car cheaper, have the work done and be in a position where you can drop the price if you need to and still make a decent return.
